About Sonic Humidifiers

Sonic Humidifiers was founded in 2017, but the technology behind our products began years earlier through firsthand experience in the cigar industry. Before launching Sonic, we owned and operated four retail cigar stores beginning around 2000. Managing humidity across multiple humidors—both cabinet and larger retail displays—was a constant operational challenge, and over the years we experimented with nearly every type of humidification system available.

Through extensive trial and error, ultrasonic humidification consistently proved to be the most reliable, easiest to maintain, and most practical solution. After refining a system that worked dependably in our own stores, we began installing and using these humidifiers in our retail locations.

By around 2012, other cigar retailers began asking about the systems we were using, and we started producing units for additional shops and manufacturers in the cigar industry. What began as a solution to our own operational needs quickly grew into a product used by others facing the same challenges.

In 2017, after selling our retail cigar stores, Sonic Humidifiers was formally established to focus exclusively on designing and producing humidification systems.

Today, Sonic humidifiers are used by cigar retailers, manufacturers, and collectors who require dependable humidity control. Our SH Series humidifiers—our flagship line—have continued to evolve over the years as the design has been refined through real-world use and customer feedback.

Beyond the products themselves, Sonic Humidifiers brings deep technical experience in humidor environments. Years spent building and maintaining walk-in humidors and large retail humidification systems have shaped how our equipment is designed. That experience includes understanding airflow, humidity distribution, system sizing, maintenance requirements, and long-term reliability.

Because our products were developed through daily operational use rather than theoretical design, we also focus heavily on serviceability. We have extensive hands-on knowledge of how these systems perform over time, how to maintain them properly, and how to repair them when necessary.

With more than a thousand units now in use, Sonic Humidifiers continues to focus on practical humidification solutions built from decades of real-world experience in the cigar industry.
